This 4th Generation Lantern is the latest and largest creation in our Garden Lantern Series. It has been created with a taller, slimmer body, and wider roof giving it an elegant design.
A very unique handmade garden lantern made of our premium hypertufa, a lightweight decorative concrete. This lantern sculpture is cast, and then carved in the traditional Yukimi-dōrō Japanese style stone lantern. At half the weight(or less) than concrete or stone you will be surprised how light and easy to move it is.
Hypertufa is a great material for outdoor year round use. No need to bring it indoors for the winter. Lanterns make a exciting winter ornament too. Their wide roof is great for catching snow and a candle is included for illumination.

I love this garden lantern! My husband and I have a tradition of buying a piece of art for each year we are married, and we thought a Japanese-style garden lantern would be perfect for this year: we've done a lot of work on our backyard this summer, and visited the Japanese Garden in Seattle. I had never heard of hybertufa before finding this shop, and I'm impressed with the construction. Thank you to Farmbrook Designs for creating this lovely lantern, and for shipping it with such speed and care.
